IAP manages pipeline design and maintenance information and assesses the risks and consequences of pipeline failures using a popular relative risk indexing methodology. IAP is a Windows based application designed with an Explorer type file open hierarchy, data input grids, reporting and data import\export facilities. IAP calculates risks of seven failure and three consequence types, potential rupture volumes, MAOP's, ANSI B31G values and other pressure related information. The program uses Visio software to graphically display integrity and risk related data for further analysis. IAP facilitates the prioritization of risk minimization projects and is a tool being used to support client U.S. DOT Risk Demonstration Projects. Thousands of miles of pipeline have been assessed using IAP. The program was designed using Visual Basic and Microsoft Access.

50 MB data storage typical
32 Bit operating system
IAP is in use at major natural gas and hazardous liquid pipeline companies, with more than 20,000 miles of pipe assessed throughout the U.S. and internationally. The IAP is licensed on a per PC basis or though a corporate arrangement. Ongoing development is based on input from a formal users group.
